SYY today officially launched its new line of armored industrial fiber optic patch cables, expanding its industrial connectivity portfolio to support reliable long-distance data transmission in harsh manufacturing, energy and outdoor infrastructure environments.
The new fiber cable line features a reinforced steel tape armor layer that delivers outstanding crush resistance, rodent protection and mechanical durability, making it suitable for direct burial, cable tray and factory floor installations. Available in both single-mode (OS2) and multi-mode (OM3 / OM4) fiber types, the cables support transmission distances up to 10km for single-mode and 550m for 10Gbps multi-mode applications. Standard connector options include LC, SC and FC, with optional APC polishing for high-bandwidth video and signal systems. All cables are rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, with LSZH or PVC jacket options to meet different industry compliance requirements.
“Industrial networks are moving to fiber for longer runs and EMI immunity, but standard patch cables fail quickly in tough field conditions,” said the SYY product manager. “Our armored fiber line combines optical performance with rugged mechanical construction, giving customers a single solution for both indoor and outdoor industrial deployments.”
All armored fiber patch cables are 100% insertion loss and return loss tested before shipment, and comply with RoHS, CE and ISO/IEC 11801 standards. Custom lengths, connector combinations and pre-terminated cable assemblies are available for OEM and project orders.
