SYY today officially launched its new line of industrial-grade RS485 serial communication cables, expanding its industrial connectivity portfolio to meet growing demand from factory automation, access control systems and industrial IoT equipment.
The new RS485 cables feature twisted-pair conductors with aluminum foil and tinned copper braid double shielding, effectively suppressing electromagnetic interference (EMI) and ensuring stable signal transmission over long distances in noisy industrial environments. They support data rates up to 10Mbps and maximum transmission distances of 1200 meters, making them ideal for long-run field wiring in production lines, building automation and security systems.
“Many of our industrial customers rely on RS485 networks for their field devices, and they need cables that can hold up to harsh factory conditions,” said the SYY product manager. “This line combines reliable electrical performance with rugged mechanical construction, and it’s fully compatible with standard industrial controllers and sensors.”
Available in 24AWG and 22AWG conductor sizes, with PVC or low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) jacket options, the cables can be supplied in standard cut lengths or custom-assembled with terminal connectors. All products comply with RoHS and CE standards, and are fully tested for electrical continuity and insulation resistance before shipment.
